Hudson
A river city of brick and iron, with a mile of shops on one street.

Hudson is a small city laid out in a grid that runs from the river up a long hill. Warren Street, its spine, is a mile of antiques dealers, restaurants and galleries in nineteenth-century storefronts.
Most houses here are brick or clapboard townhouses with deep back gardens. Toward the top of the hill and out along the river roads, larger houses sit on a few acres with views across to the Catskills.
The city
Warren Street for shops and restaurants, the waterfront park at its western end, and a weekly market at the foot of the street.
