Rhinebeck

Porches, maple trees and a main crossing with a cinema and a bookshop.

Rhinebeck

Rhinebeck grew up around a crossroads on the old Post Road, and the village still works that way: the shops, the bakery and the Saturday market are all within a few minutes' walk of the light on Market Street.

Outside the village the land opens into orchards and horse farms, with stone walls along the roads and the Hudson a short drive west. Most of our Rhinebeck houses sit on two to fifteen acres.

The village

Market Street and Montgomery Street hold the shops, two cafés and the cinema. The farmers' market runs on Sundays from May to November.

Getting there

Amtrak stops at Rhinecliff, ten minutes away, with trains to Penn Station in about an hour and forty minutes. The Taconic is twenty minutes east.

Schools

Rhinebeck Central School District: one elementary and one high school, both in the village.
