Overview
Fieldstone was built from the rock cleared off its own fields, and it has the proportions of the houses of that time: wide, low, and set square to the road behind a row of sugar maples.
The ground floor keeps its original plan of four rooms around a center hall, each with a working fireplace. A later wing holds the kitchen, a mudroom and a library with built-in shelves on three walls.
Five bedrooms on the upper floor share four baths. The meadow beyond the house is mown twice a year and runs down to a spring-fed pond.
